Due to the local young-staff population Banff has a 7 day-a-week nightlife. From British Pubs & Quiet Lounges to Nightclubs that play the newest dance music we have it all. On weekends expect to find a cover charge at the nightclubs, but, unless there is a special event most other bars will not charge admission. As for dress-code, most places pretty-well anything goes, don't worry about dressing up unless you want everyone to look at you and wonder what the occasion is for you.
Aurora

The Aurora is Banff's newest nightclub. Featuring DJs every night playing the newest dance music from everywhere in the world.
Bumper's

If you want to try to find the locals, Bumper's would be the place to go. Located a litte bit out of the way, this cozy bar is decorated with the signs of the past businesses of Banff.
Barbary Coast

Magpie & Stump

If you like margaritas the "Magpie" is the place to go, with about 20 different flavors it's often hard to decide. Occasionally the Magpie has bands come in, when they do they a definetly worth checking out.
Mel's

Want sports? Mel's is the place to go if you're looking for a game that you can't find anywhere else. This is a fairly small but fun bar.
Outtabounds

Outtabounds is Banff's other nightclub, DJ music, Drink specials, Chicks this is where they're at.
The Paddock

The Pump & Tap

This British pub is actually run by three real Brit's (not a simulated theme). The walls and ceilings a decorated in British photos and soccer memorabilia imported from the U.K. Extemely popular with Brits travelling through and working in Banff.
Rose & Crown

The "Rose" is and English style pub offering live entertainment. Games area with pool tables on one side and the band, a couch by the fire & a sit down bar on the other. On sunny days a seat on the roof-top patio is worth waiting for.
Saint James's Gate

Banff's only Irish pub, decorated with furniture and authentic props imported directly from Ireland. This pub gets extemely busy during the tourism season, it's a good idea to get there early to ensure a seat.
Tommy's

Tommy's is another local's hang-out. On nights when there are drink specials Tommy's is ussually full to capacity. Late at night (when the bars are closing) Tommy's sells burgers off thier patio, perfect timing after leaving the Aurora.
Wild Bill's

Live music and a cowboy theme are the trademarks of this "saloon". Wild Bill's has live music or other entertainment almost every night of the year. If you're visiting Canada stop by on a country music night and try two-stepping.
