Tunnel Mountain Hike
Cost: FREE

Tunnel mountain is the smallest mountain in the Banff area, it is called tunnel mountain because the Canadian Pacific Railway originally planned to put a tunnel through the mountain. As it turned out the railway found a route around and the anme of the mountain stuck. This trail starts about a five minute walk from downtown Banff. The difficulty rating is moderate, but is well worth the effort. From the top you can take pictures of banff from above, see and sit in a stone chair built for King George and tell all your friends that you actually hiked up a mountain!
